When you understand what your rights really are then you are empowered to defend them.
Drawing a blank? You're not alone. Many don't know their rights, let alone able to define one.
What Amendment Protects All of Your Rights not listed on the Bill of Rights?
The 9th.
Rights vs. Permissions
The root cause of all our public problems is not understanding the difference between Rights vs. Permissions.
It is critical to understand what your rights actually are. Otherwise how can you defend them or know when you've lost them?
A right is something you can DO without asking for permission
The opposite of a right, therefore, is something you CANNOT do without asking for permission.
1. Property
All rights are derived from property. If you don't own property then you have no rights.
A simple example: Imagine you own land, you are free to roam as you please. But if your neighbor wants to walk on your land they need to ask permission.
The important concept here is that permissions are granted, and they can be revoked at any time for any reason. Rights and permissions are opposites.
2. Responsibility
Rights and responsibilities are like heads and tails on the same coin; you can't have one without the other; every right has to be exercised responsibly.
You have a right to self defense, but you do not have a right to harm another individual because of the 3rd principle.
3. Equal Rights of Others
The only limitation on your rights is the equal rights of others.
To put it another way, you only have the right to your property. You do not have the right to anyone else's property.
ONLY Individual Rights Exist
Only individuals exist, therefore, ONLY individual rights exist. Rights are "inherent" in a person, making it physically impossible to extract them by any means. They don't exist because a piece of paper says so.
The Standard Of Freedom
The Standard of Freedom is a principle that everyone can live up to, uniting us together in the pursuit of freedom and justice for all.
It MUST be used in a free society. It is the standard against which every law must be judged.
Law can only be used in two ways: to protect your rights and your property, or to steal your property and take away your rights.
It's time to go on offense. Help educate and promote the Standard of Freedom. Imagine a world with sound money, proper use of the law, and where individual rights are protected.
